Lisbon camp says PSP allows sleeping outdoors again at Rossio

On October 22, hundreds gathered in Rossio, Lisbon, to continue housing rights protests, with police allowing them to sleep outdoors. The Primavera de Corus movement organized a popular assembly, emphasizing the need for solidarity in their struggle. They reported that the PSP permitted the gathering to continue overnight, provided it ended by 12:30 AM and no tents were erected. The assembly focused on preparing for a larger demonstration scheduled for Saturday and called for union support for a general strike. Protests against the housing crisis began in Porto on October 10 and have spread to other cities, demanding measures to address rising living costs and corporate profits. Recent protests have seen police violence, resulting in injuries and arrests.
