Camp changed Rossio for Marvila for one night
A recent eviction of a family in Marvila sparked a vigil and assembly by the Acampada de Lisboa, drawing around 300 participants. The event aimed to support a 26-year-old widow and her two young children who were evicted from a municipal house. Local politicians, including André Bivetti and João Ferreira, expressed solidarity and criticized the lack of housing policies. The assembly included speeches from residents, discussions on future actions, and plans for a general strike. Participants emphasized the urgent need for housing reforms and community support, while also organizing food and activities for children. The assembly concluded with votes on proposals to prevent the privatization of public housing and to enhance community engagement.
