Access to the taxi rank with control starting from day 3
Starting November 3, access to the taxi rank at Lisbon's Humberto Delgado Airport will be controlled by a barrier, allowing only accredited vehicles. The Portuguese Taxi Federation (FPT) and the National Association of Road Transporters in Light Vehicles (ANTRAL) announced that only taxis registered in their database will be permitted entry. Credentialing will continue after October 30, with new registrations taking effect the following Tuesday. The fixed fare system for airport taxis was implemented on October 15, with prices set at 16 or 19 euros depending on the zone. This initiative follows complaints from passengers about overcharging and refusals of service, with previous inspections revealing numerous violations.
