Azores. About one hundred replicas of the earthquake on Tuesday
The Azores Seismic and Volcanic Surveillance Center reported nearly 100 aftershocks following a 5.2 magnitude earthquake, with the situation stabilizing. The quake, felt in São Miguel, Santa Maria, and Terceira, caused no casualties or damage. Rita Carmo from CIVISA noted that while seismic activity is decreasing, further tremors may still occur. The earthquake's epicenter was located about 40 kilometers west of Ginetes, with varying intensity levels reported across different municipalities. The region's seismic activity is common due to its geological features, and residents are advised to remain prepared for potential future quakes.
