Awarded support for the distribution service of newspapers and magazines on the continent

The public tender for daily distribution of newspapers and magazines in mainland Portugal has been awarded to VASP – Distribuição e Logística, S.A. This initiative is part of the Action Plan for Media and aims to ensure access to printed press in all municipalities, especially in rural areas. The contract requires at least one sales point in each municipality, with a minimum operation of 300 days per year. The awarded prices are significantly lower than the initial estimates, with a total cost of approximately 2.3 million euros for three years, compared to an initial estimate of 10.5 million euros. The process was managed by the #PortugalMediaLab team and involved two proposals.
