AI company Anthropic has lost 80 billion dollars. Its revenues are sharply increasing.

Anthropic, an AI company, reported a net loss of over $80 billion in the first half of 2023, primarily due to accounting adjustments. Despite this, revenues surged to approximately $16.3 billion, up from $1.1 billion last year. The company plans to invest up to $750 billion in computing capacity over the coming years. Concerns regarding AI models potentially causing real-world harm were highlighted in their prospectus. Founded in 2021 by former OpenAI employees, Anthropic's flagship product is the chatbot Claude, launched in 2023.
