AIMA will have a new unified portal for family regrouping

A new portal for family reunification requests will launch soon, according to sources from the AIMA. Current requests can still be made through existing websites, but the transitional regime for family reunification is no longer available. AIMA has scheduled thousands of requests under this regime, which was part of legislative changes approved in October 2025. Family reunification requests are currently prioritized, with over five thousand appointments made last week. Some appointments are confirmed for early 2027 due to high demand. The new portal aims to streamline requests and reduce duplicate submissions across different platforms. The government issued 26,000 family reunification titles by September, marking a significant increase compared to previous years.
