Airbnb halts the practices of "hellish landlords." Unpopular fees, however, do not disappear.
Airbnb has introduced new rules limiting what hosts can demand from guests before departure, addressing complaints about excessive cleaning requirements. The company aims to curb practices deemed unreasonable, such as requiring guests to clean extensively or face hefty fines. Hosts will no longer be able to impose penalties for certain violations, and they can only set a maximum of seven specific house rules. These changes will take effect globally on November 20.
