The agreement on the Norwegian Fund has been signed, 92 billion forints will arrive
Hungary's Finance Minister András Kármán emphasized the importance of national interest in resource allocation during the signing of cooperation agreements for the EEA and Norwegian Funds. The agreements will bring 254 million euros to support green transition, healthcare, local communities, culture, and Roma integration. Kármán criticized the previous government's refusal to accept independent oversight, which led to Hungary missing out on nearly 215 million euros in funding. The new agreements aim for transparency and accountability in fund distribution. Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide welcomed the renewed cooperation, highlighting the significance of collaboration and rule of law in Europe.
