Bence Pintér, the mayor of Győr, announced plans to initiate constitutional amendments allowing citizens to recall local councils via referendum. He criticized the current council for losing legitimacy and expressed a desire for change within the local Fidesz party, which is experiencing a split. A new faction named "Csak Győr" is forming, with at least eight members leaving Fidesz, including faction leader Tímea Laczkovics-Takács. Former mayor Zsolt Borkai also announced his departure from the council, stating he no longer wishes to play a passive role.
