A businessman close to Aleksandar Vučić's party has been arrested in Serbia

Davor Macura, the owner of Alta Bank, was arrested in Serbia amid investigations into the bank's financial activities. The Serbian National Bank revoked the bank's operating license due to concerns over its financial stability and potential illegal money transfers abroad. Macura has been linked to the Serbian Progressive Party, which recently lost parliamentary elections. The organized crime prosecutor's office had previously initiated an investigation into the bank's foreign money transfers, with reports suggesting attempts to transfer tens of millions of euros after the elections. Macura has been a prominent businessman in Serbia for over fifteen years, expanding his interests in finance, trade, and real estate.
