According to Aleksandar Vucic, the Serbian Progressive Party could return to power within two years

Aleksandar Vucic, former Serbian president, stated that the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) could return to power within two years after their recent electoral defeat. He announced significant changes within the party and expressed openness to collaboration with other political forces for a broad coalition against the new government. Vucic compared the recent power shift to the 2000 Serbian revolution, suggesting that some supporters of the winning Student List may regret their choice. He anticipates that unfavorable measures from the new leadership could lead to public disillusionment, creating opportunities for SNS's political resurgence. Following the election, Vucic received calls from several European leaders, including Viktor Orbán and Emmanuel Macron, and plans to meet Orbán soon. The Student List won approximately 53% of the votes, while SNS secured 39%, marking the end of SNS's 14-year dominance in Serbian politics.
