The Fidesz–KDNP is turning to the Constitutional Court due to the reduction of support for home energy storage.
The Fidesz-KDNP coalition has approached the Constitutional Court regarding a reduction in support for the Home Energy Storage Program. They claim the government lowered the maximum grant from 2.5 million HUF to 1.8 million HUF six months after the application deadline, affecting thousands of families. The coalition argues that this unilateral change in application conditions is unacceptable and has requested a review by the Constitutional Court. They urge the government to increase the funding instead of reducing already granted support. As of March, 132,000 applications were submitted, but only 42,200 could be supported under the original budget. The government decided to make additional support available for 15,000 more households while maintaining the original budget.
