'All this food is now useless': Piles of rubbish after shop freezers hit by cyber-attack

A cyber-attack on supermarket freezers in Europe led to significant food waste, particularly in Belgium and Luxembourg. Many stores, including 40 Delhaize locations, were affected, resulting in the disposal of large quantities of food. The incident caused substantial financial losses, with one Delhaize branch in Belgium estimating damages over €100,000. Similar incidents occurred in Sweden, Ireland, the Netherlands, Estonia, and Finland.
