Almadía will conduct a "detailed review" of its award-winning novel, accused of being written with AI

Mexican publisher Almadía will conduct a thorough review of the award-winning novel 'Donde el agua trabaja' by David Silva Rojas, following allegations that 99% of its text was generated by AI. The publisher announced the suspension of promotional activities for the book and emphasized the author's contractual commitment not to use AI technology. Almadía stated that both the jury and editorial team did not perceive any AI usage during their evaluation. They acknowledged the challenges of relying on automated tools for literary authenticity and committed to a careful review process amid ongoing ethical debates regarding AI in literature.
