Students from the University of Coimbra will be able to intern in the public service of Macau
The Government of Macau is interested in hosting interns from the University of Coimbra's Public Administration programs. João Nuno Calvão da Silva, the university's vice-rector, met with Kong Chi Meng from Macau's Education and Youth Development Services to discuss this initiative. The aim is to enhance the students' educational experience and promote internationalization for the university. Macau has around 34,000 public servants, with a small number of Portuguese nationals. The University of Coimbra also proposed that qualified young professionals from Macau could access its internship network. Additionally, a collaboration with the University of Macau's Law Faculty was established, focusing on international scientific events and research scholarships. This partnership aims to strengthen legal ties between Macau and Portugal, fostering a dialogue between legal cultures.
