Amadora hands over 48 keys to affordable housing

The Amadora City Council will hand over keys to 48 public housing units to families, with average rents of 463 euros. These sustainable homes, financed by the Recovery and Resilience Plan, are located in Cerrado da Mira and include 46 T1 apartments and two T2 apartments. The selection process attracted nearly 500 applications, with 56 residents expected, averaging 37 years old. The project, costing approximately 6.9 million euros, was awarded to Grupo Casais and emphasizes environmental sensitivity and social inclusion. Additionally, a new project for over 95 controlled-cost homes is underway, expected to be completed by December 2027.
