'Amateurs' chase half a million euros in criticized darts show around Littler

Beat Luke Littler is a darts competition where amateurs compete against world champion Luke Littler for a prize of €586,000. Participants must win one leg to claim the jackpot, while Littler aims to win all legs to donate the prize to charity. The selection process was rigorous, with thousands auditioning, resulting in 24 challengers, including notable players like Fallon Sherrock. However, criticism arose as half of the participants are already known in the darts community, leaving fewer spots for casual players. The event will be broadcast live on Netflix, hosted by Gary Lineker, starting at 20:00.
