Ambulances moving slowly in Lisbon on the 26th
On October 26, patient transport companies will protest in Lisbon with around 100 ambulances to highlight their economic struggles and lack of support from the government. The Liga Portuguesa de Ambulâncias (LPA) organized this slow march to draw attention to rising costs, delays in payments from the National Health Service (SNS), and the exclusion from fuel support measures. They argue that while some transport sectors receive aid, private patient transport companies are left out, creating an unfair situation. The protest aims to demand equal treatment, a review of transport pricing, and timely payments from SNS institutions.
