America urged its government officials to abandon Saudi Arabia
The U.S. State Department has ordered non-essential government personnel and their families to leave Saudi Arabia due to attacks by Iranian-aligned Houthi rebels. This directive is specific to Saudi Arabia, but similar measures may soon apply to U.S. citizens in other Gulf countries. The decision follows recent Houthi strikes targeting Saudi airports and critical infrastructure. The State Department previously warned officials to avoid certain airports and maintain distance from the Yemeni border. The U.S. embassy in Riyadh has also cautioned about potential further Houthi attacks. Meanwhile, the UK is deploying combat aircraft to Saudi Arabia to counter these threats.
