American FBI accuses North Korea of cyber attack on cryptocurrency platform Binance

The FBI accuses North Korea of orchestrating a cyberattack on Binance, resulting in the theft of approximately $6.3 billion. Binance has stated that 90% of the stolen funds have been replenished. The attack led to the freezing of $3 billion of the stolen amount and a temporary suspension of transactions on the platform. The FBI links the attack to TraderTraitor, a hacker group allegedly backed by the North Korean government. This incident is not isolated, as North Korean hackers previously stole $1.5 billion from Bybit. Binance aims to absorb the financial impact to protect its users.
