An app to preserve Palestinian memory
The Palestine Museum Digital Archive aims to preserve Palestinian culture through a mobile app and extensive digitized collections. Since its inception in 2018, it has gathered over 390,000 documents reflecting daily life and history. The archive serves as a safeguard against cultural erasure, especially amid ongoing conflicts. Despite funding cuts reducing staff, the museum continues to engage the diaspora in documenting their heritage. The upcoming app will enhance community involvement in preserving collective memory, providing a virtual space for Palestinians to connect and share their stories.
