André Ventura spent 3.7 million euros on the campaign, three times that of António José Seguro
André Ventura spent 3.7 million euros on his presidential campaign, significantly more than António José Seguro's 1.2 million euros. Ventura's expenses included 1.72 million euros on structures and advertising, while his campaign received 1.03 million euros in public funding and 2.7 million euros from political parties. Despite his high spending, Ventura finished second in the elections, losing to Seguro, who also exceeded his budget with 1.22 million euros spent. Other candidates had varying expenses, with some not receiving public funding. Two candidates failed to submit their financial reports to the Electoral Authority.
