André Ventura re-elected president of Chega with 98% of the votes
André Ventura was re-elected as president of Chega with 98% of the votes in direct elections where he was the sole candidate. The elections took place ahead of the party's 7th National Convention, with 1.5% blank votes and 0.5% null votes. Ventura has led Chega since its founding in 2019 and has consistently received over 94% of the votes in previous elections. The upcoming convention aims to elect national bodies and address issues raised by the Constitutional Court, which invalidated previous elections. Chega has grown significantly in parliament, becoming the third-largest party with 50 deputies in 2024 and 60 deputies in 2025.
