Angola announces air connection with the capital of Cape Verde starting December 12
Angola will establish a direct flight connection between Luanda and Praia starting December 12, as announced by Transport Minister Ricardo Viegas d'Abreu at the Lusophone Africa Investment Forum in Cape Verde. The minister emphasized the importance of this route despite previous challenges and highlighted the need for shared investment costs among stakeholders. He noted that Angola has the second most air connections among Portuguese-speaking countries after Portugal. The forum aims to foster investment opportunities and partnerships among PALOP countries and international investors, focusing on sustainable tourism and agribusiness development. The IFC has mobilized significant funding for projects in these nations over the past five years.
