Anna Korwin-Piotrowska explains what will happen next with the authorities of the Constitutional Tribunal. The decision will be made by the disciplinary court.
Anna Korwin-Piotrowska announced that a disciplinary court will review the case of judges Bogdan Święczkowski and Bartłomiej Sochański following their temporary suspension. The court will determine if the alleged misconduct warrants their suspension. A month-long break in their duties was declared due to issues with excluding judges from proceedings and irregularities in appointing judges. Additionally, five requests to lift the judges' immunity were submitted by the Attorney General, which will also be addressed by the General Assembly of Judges. Korwin-Piotrowska clarified that the suspension is unrelated to the immunity requests, emphasizing that two separate procedures are ongoing: one disciplinary and one regarding potential criminal responsibility.
