ANO lost its representatives in Turnov, they will act as independents

The ANO movement has lost its city council members in Turnov, who will now serve as independents, following a similar loss in Semily. Jaroslav Knížek, the leader of the Turnov ANO candidate list, stated that they wish to avoid national political burdens, citing recent parliamentary behavior regarding media funding as a contributing factor. ANO held four seats in the 27-member council, finishing third in the elections. Knížek emphasized the need for civility in politics and expressed a desire to maintain a normal political environment in Turnov. Additionally, ANO has faced further departures in the Liberec region, including members from Česká Lípa and Semily, with some citing personal reasons and the influence of national politics on local matters.
