Another round of peace-talk masquerade awaits Ukraine
The upcoming trilateral negotiations in Abu Dhabi involving Ukraine, Russia, and the U.S. may not lead to meaningful peace, as fundamental issues remain unaddressed. President Zelensky emphasizes the need for strong security guarantees and long-term military support for Ukraine. Russia's willingness to negotiate does not indicate a readiness to compromise, particularly regarding territorial concessions. Past agreements have failed to provide real security for Ukraine, raising concerns about the effectiveness of any new commitments. The imbalance in negotiations could lead to Ukraine conceding territory without adequate guarantees, risking further conflict. A more effective strategy would involve sustained military support for Ukraine and a clear stance against Russian aggression.
