Antwerp now also offers funerals on the Scheldt: "Forever connected to the city"

Antwerp now offers the option for families to scatter ashes on the Scheldt River, enhancing its farewell services. Collaborating with various shipping companies, the city allows ceremonies and memorial meals on boats. Ken Casier (N-VA) emphasizes the importance of personalized farewells, providing choices from small boats to larger vessels. This initiative aims to create meaningful goodbyes, reflecting the strong connection locals have with the river. More details are available on the city's website under the Uit-Vaart section.
