Appeal of bishops in the face of crisis and polarization in Poland. Prayer at Jasna Góra
Members of the Polish Episcopal Conference expressed deep concern over the ongoing constitutional crisis surrounding the Constitutional Tribunal. They emphasized that the prolonged dispute hinders national unity and leads to a state crisis. The bishops called for a cessation of escalation and constructive dialogue, urging all people of goodwill to support efforts for national reconciliation and to pray for Poland. The Jasna Góra monastery also highlighted its continuous prayers for the country, especially during significant events. The crisis escalated following the suspension of the Tribunal's president and vice-president, leading to tensions and protests outside the Tribunal's premises. President Karol Nawrocki interrupted his trip to Senegal to address the situation, citing constitutional violations.
