Apple surrenders to the touchscreen on the MacBook

Apple has introduced the MacBook Pro with a touch screen, marking a significant shift in its product line. Available in 14 and 16 inches, the new models feature a PROLED XDR display with up to 2000 nits brightness and a 120 Hz refresh rate. CEO John Ternus highlighted the enhanced interaction for professionals, allowing for tasks like 3D modeling and music performance. The touch-enabled MacBook Pro weighs slightly less than its non-touch counterparts and will be available from November 6, starting at €3,399. This move follows years of resistance to touch technology, with previous attempts like the Touch Bar failing to gain traction. Analysts suggest Apple's entry may not drastically change the personal computer market but will influence the touch laptop segment significantly.
