Workers trapped 24 meters high under the viaduct of Vilvoorde: "Can be rescued with ladder truck"

Seven workers were trapped for three hours under the Vilvoorde viaduct due to a malfunctioning lift, 24 meters above ground. The fire department successfully rescued them without injuries. The lift had been stuck since 2 PM, but the call for help was only made at 4:30 PM. Renovation works at the site are ongoing and expected to last until 2031.
