Artemis IV hopes to inspire children like Apollo has for 50 years

Kelsey Young, a scientist leading NASA's Artemis program, expressed hope that the lunar exploration mission will inspire youth, similar to the Apollo program. Speaking at the GLEX Ignition conference in Coimbra, she emphasized the scientific importance of lunar exploration for understanding its relationship with Earth and the solar system. Young highlighted her role in integrating scientific teams and training astronauts, sharing insights from the Artemis II mission. She noted unexpected scientific observations, such as impact flashes on the moon's surface, and the positive global response to the Artemis mission, which she found inspiring.
