90-year-old Korean artist exhibits at Serralves
The exhibition "Fragments of Infinity" by Korean artist Lee Ufan showcases various paintings and sculptures, some created specifically for Serralves in Porto. This marks the first presentation of his works in Portugal. Lee Ufan, who was born in 1936 in Korea and later moved to Japan, attended the exhibition setup. Curated by Philippe Vergne, the exhibition will be on display until March next year. It explores the relationship between natural landscapes and architectural space, featuring three outdoor sculptures that interact with their surroundings. Inside the Casa de Serralves, new paintings and sculptures are displayed in dialogue, including a piece made for the venue. Lee has had a prolific career with exhibitions in prestigious locations worldwide.
