Aspiring buyer of bunker Seyss-Inquart rightly excluded from bidding process

A Dutch court ruled that heritage organization Boei was rightly excluded from bidding on a former Nazi command bunker due to rule violations. Boei shared its plans with third parties and attempted to contact another bidder, which breached the bidding rules. The State, after an integrity investigation, decided to exclude Boei, allowing the Rijksvastgoedbedrijf to sell the bunker to a real estate entrepreneur. Boei plans to appeal the decision, arguing that the sale undermines the cultural heritage of the monument and that the general heritage interest should take precedence over quick sales. Boei's director emphasizes the need for proper expertise in managing national heritage sites.
