Attack on refrigerators in Poland? There is confirmation
In October, around 700 supermarkets in France were affected by a cyberattack targeting refrigeration systems, leading to food spoilage and financial losses. Similar attacks were confirmed in Ireland, Sweden, Belgium, Portugal, and Luxembourg. In Poland, 140 internet-visible refrigeration devices were identified, prompting contact with affected companies, resulting in about 70 disconnecting their devices. CERT Polska reported one confirmed attack on a refrigerator in Poland, which caused no material damage. Experts advised against exposing refrigeration devices directly to the internet and emphasized secure remote access methods.
