Pinto Luz's hearing on TAP unanimously approved

The Chega parliamentary group's request to hear Minister Miguel Pinto Luz regarding TAP's privatization was unanimously approved. This decision was made during a session of the Infrastructure, Mobility, and Housing Committee, aiming to discuss the privatization process and national strategic interests. The hearing will be scheduled later. This approval follows the government's announcement of Lufthansa's selection for a partial privatization of TAP, with a bid of €1.201 billion for up to 49.9% of the capital. Lufthansa's offer includes €1.025 billion for 44.9% of the capital, plus financial adjustments. The Portuguese state will retain a 50.1% stake in TAP during this initial phase, which is expected to conclude by 2028, pending regulatory approvals.
