Coop received the Franchise Business of the Year award and the Nébih-KMÉ Sustainability Special Award.

The Trade magazine annually awards the best retailers in Hungary through the "Retailer of the Year" competition, recognizing outstanding stores and chains. This year, Coop Economic Group won the title of "Franchise Chain of the Year" for its sustainable business practices and technological advancements. Coop operates 2076 stores across 1422 locations, employing nearly 16,000 people. The chain focuses on energy-efficient upgrades, with 840 stores using solar technology, generating 38 GWh of renewable energy. Coop also offers services like used cooking oil collection and has implemented a recycling program for packaging waste. Additionally, Coop has modernized its stores with self-service checkouts and opened hybrid smart stores, enhancing customer experience and accessibility.
