The Israeli army will close all of the West Bank on election day

The Israeli Defense Forces announced that all land crossings from the West Bank to Israel will be closed during the elections, preventing Palestinian workers from entering Israeli settlements. This decision follows increased security measures after two Israeli soldiers were killed by Palestinian militants in Hebron. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu previously considered a complete closure of the area but opted for a cordon around Hebron and Halhul. Additionally, demolitions of homes and businesses have left hundreds of Palestinians homeless. The closure will restrict Palestinian workers' movement in Judea and Samaria and the Jordan Valley, with exceptions for specific industrial zones.
