The Ministry of Education has published its proposals for the reform of the education of children with special educational needs.
The SNI working group, led by Kókayné Lányi Marietta, emphasizes the need for educational institutions to adapt to the diverse needs of children. They propose a ten-point plan to enhance support for students with special educational needs (SNI). Key recommendations include integrating special educators into classroom activities, ensuring smaller class sizes for SNI students, and providing professional development for all teachers on SNI guidelines. The group aims to refine these proposals based on feedback and will focus on necessary changes in special education institutions. Additionally, the education minister announced a budget of 10 billion HUF for school renovations and modernization.
