The Ukrainians rescued an injured soldier from the front line in an unprecedented way, using a heavy-duty drone.
Ukraine successfully executed a drone rescue operation for a wounded soldier, Konstantin Vlasenko, trapped for 491 days. The soldier, injured during Russian attacks, required amputation of his foot. A modified heavy-lift drone was used for the extraction, which took about 1 hour and 15 minutes. The operation involved deploying multiple drones to distract Russian forces. Gurzuf Defence, the company behind the drone, noted that while they hadn't planned for evacuation missions, their drones proved capable of such tasks. However, they emphasized that aerial transport should only be a last resort.
