Azambuja requests the transfer of 158 houses from the State
The Azambuja municipality is requesting the government to transfer 158 state-owned housing units, with 111 currently vacant and in need of rehabilitation. Mayor Silvino Lúcio highlighted that about 70% of these properties are unoccupied, primarily located in Alcoentre, and many show signs of degradation. The municipality aims to recover these homes to increase public housing availability, especially with anticipated industrial development in the area. Despite previous invitations for the Minister of Infrastructure and Housing to visit the properties, no conclusive response has been received yet.
