Milk bars under scrutiny. Irregularities in over 70 percent of establishments
Recent inspections of 91 milk bars in Poland revealed significant issues with food labeling, with 72% of dishes having discrepancies in composition and naming. Common violations included missing ingredient lists, lack of allergen information, and misleading dish names. Laboratory tests found undeclared meat and mismatched fish species in 9.3% of samples. Customers should have easy access to accurate dish names and complete ingredient lists, ideally displayed in menus or catalogs without needing to ask staff. Clear and precise naming is essential for informing customers about the actual nature of the dishes, especially regarding allergens.
