BdP signs new agreement for headquarters that saves 35 million

Banco de Portugal has revised its agreement with Fidelidade, opting to purchase only one building (A1) instead of two, resulting in a savings of €35 million. The new plan includes an auditorium and aims to consolidate services into a single location, enhancing operational efficiency. The total investment is projected at €225 million, with the move expected by mid-2030. This decision follows a review of space needs influenced by remote work and previous experiences in different locations. The governor, Álvaro Santos Pereira, emphasized the unanimous decision to optimize the project, which aims to reduce operational costs by over €10 million annually.
