BdP now has one building in Entrecampos instead of two and reduces investment by 35 million
The Bank of Portugal has revised its plans for a new headquarters in Entrecampos, opting for a single building instead of two, resulting in a €35 million reduction in investment. The new total investment is set at €225 million, down from €260 million. This change, formalized in an addendum with Fidelidade, allows for a more efficient project in terms of location and security. The completion date has been pushed to mid-2028, with staff relocation expected by June 2030. The new headquarters will centralize operations currently spread across four locations, aiming to save over €10 million in operational costs. The historical building in downtown Lisbon will remain owned by the bank, housing the Money Museum and public services.
