BdP. PS asks for explanations about new headquarters

The PS party has requested explanations from the Governor of the Bank of Portugal, Álvaro Santos Pereira, regarding changes to the contract for a new headquarters, criticizing the lack of transparency and information. The Bank announced it would only purchase one building instead of two, reducing the investment by 35 million euros to 225 million. PS deputy Carlos Pereira expressed concerns about the opacity of the new plan, questioning the adequacy of the projects and the opinions of the Board of Directors. Pereira indicated that if satisfactory explanations are not provided soon, the party may seek a parliamentary hearing. The contract modification was signed this week, changing the purchase from two buildings to one, with a separate auditorium planned.
