There will be a third lane on the A4 motorway on the Kraków-Katowice section. The contract has been signed
The General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways signed a contract with Autostrada II for the expansion of the A4 highway from Dulowa to Balice. The project includes technical documentation, necessary permits, and the demolition of toll booths in Balice. This expansion aims to add a third lane to accommodate over 50,000 vehicles daily. The project will utilize land reserves in the green belt between the lanes. Starting next year, drivers will no longer pay tolls on this section, as management will transfer from Stalexport to the General Directorate. Construction is expected to begin in 2030 after project completion and permits are secured.
