NASA presented its new cars, which astronauts will drive on the Moon
NASA has unveiled three lunar vehicles essential for establishing a lunar base, including robotic rovers and manually controlled lunar cars. The VIPER rover will search for frozen water on the Moon starting in 2027, while two lunar vehicles will be sent by 2028 to assist astronauts during the Artemis-4 mission. The lunar base will be developed in three phases, with the first phase already underway, aiming for initial missions by the end of this year. The Artemis program aims to return humans to the Moon, with Artemis-3 planned for 2027 and Artemis-4 for 2028, although there are concerns about timely completion of necessary space suits.
