Gasoline at the pump is cheaper again despite expensive oil

Gasoline prices have recently decreased to an average of €2.55, down from a peak of €2.73 two weeks ago. Diesel prices have also dropped, but not as significantly. Despite rising oil prices, which are currently around $115 per barrel, the decrease in pump prices is influenced by transport and refining costs. Experts note that while transport costs have increased, refining costs have decreased due to a rise in refined oil products. However, long-term predictions suggest that gasoline and diesel prices may rise again unless significant changes occur in the Middle East.
