Berlin startet KI-Überwachung am Kottbusser Tor

In November, Berlin will implement AI-based video surveillance at Kottbusser Tor with 30 cameras to detect violence and emergencies. Following a trial phase, the system is set to go live in early December. Kottbusser Tor is one of seven crime-prone areas in the city, with over 900 crimes reported in the past year, including more than 300 physical assaults. Interior Senator Iris Spranger emphasized the need for early detection of dangers to ensure public safety.
